The Story Behind The Logo
In the late 1960's and early 1970's my father, Robert Lane opened an automotive repair shop in the San Francisco Bay area called Cosmic Chicken VW Repair. One morning, Jerry Garcia’s manager at the time stopped by to have repairs done to his vehicles. Unfortunately, my father’s tools had been stolen the night before and he was unable to perform the work. Garcia’s manager left the shop and returned shortly after with a check signed by Jerry Garcia to help him buy new tools and repair the vehicles.
In honor of my father’s life, passion, and musical connections, I have created Robin’s Nest Reording and based my logo off of his VW repair shops logo. Thank you.
